Privately owned elephants in Sauraha, Nepal, and their mahouts have been hard hit as COVID-19 put a stop to tourism throughout Asia. Since the beginning of May, EAI has worked with donors, friends, volunteers, members of the community and local farmers to provide supplemental food essential to the elephants’ health. Every penny donated to our Feed Hungry Elephants Campaign will go toward feeding elephants in Sauraha and supporting the local farmers and laborers.
